Marwan Barghouti is a Palestinian political leader who has been imprisoned by Israel since 2002. Often called “the Palestinian Mandela,” he consistently tops opinion polls as the preferred leader of Palestinians.
Since October 7, 2023, Marwan Barghouti has been denied visits from his family and has been severely beaten several times.
