I agree completely with what you are saying about Netanyahu and what he is doing to stay out of corruption charges. He does NOT care how many humans die. (just like Hitler) As far as Biden however, he is from old school and never was a progressive (history shows that) . He is the highest paid in Congress by AIPAC . He basically is an old Republican dressed in Democrat Clothes.History will not be kind to him for supporting the devastating two wars we are supporting . He was great in the beginning of his term because he had to be. .
I think the question should not be "why is Joe Biden allowing this," but "why is Joe Biden supporting this?" There is a big difference because contrary to what some think, Biden is not the PM of Israel. Netanyahu is determined to stay in power (and out of jail) at any and all costs, including hostages' lives, and he knows Biden is in a very delicate pre-election position and can't announce a total withdrawal of weapons. So he continues -- so far-- to support Netanyahu's military adventurism. But there is no assurance that even if he did this would stop. It is very unlikely. Bibi would only do a "victim" performance and say Biden wants to destroy Israel and it has to fight on alone "for its survival."
Peter: Re aid to the Palestinians: I strongly recommend American Near East Refugee Aid. A very American institution that has been helping Palestinians since 1968. ANERA has staff on the ground in Gaza, West Bank and Lebanon and has a great record of effective delivery of aid and community services, education, health and economic development.
