Recent commentary by Peter

In July 2020, I published a longform essay with Jewish Currents. Entitled, “Yavne: A Jewish Case for Equality in Israel-Palestine,” this essay lays out the case for one democratic and binational state, instead of a two-state solution.

I am a contributor to CNN. In July, I spoke to Fareed Zakaria about my essay advocating one democratic, binational state Israel-Palestine.

In December, I published a New York Times column arguing that Joe Biden and his advisors should stop talking about American global “leadership.” Following Martin Luther King, they should talk instead about American “solidarity” with the rest of the world.

I was a contributor to the Atlantic for more than five years, writing for the online and print magazine. In 2019, I contributed “The New Authoritarians are Waging War on Women” to the January/February 2019 issue.
